A Design Debut

So maybe I’m late to this blog train.

But truth be told, I’ve resisted. And for good reason.

If you know me at all, you’d probably say I was friendly.

Verbose.

Chatty, even.

And God knows I love to write.

So blogging would be natural, no?

Yeah, it would. And therein lies the problem. I was terrified that starting a blog would tear me away from doing any ‘real work’. From serving my clients and designing rooms and laying out rooms and ordering furniture and visiting showrooms and sending out invoices and all the myriad of things that an interior designer spends her day doing. Because writing a blog – or writing anything really - isn’t work to me; it’s FABULOUS fun, darlings! As much fun as designing the moodboard below...

But then something happened…

I realized that by not writing a blog, I was doing my clients (and you!) a huge disservice! Because they - you - EVERYONE - all seemed to have the same questions. And I realized that blogging gives me the ability to answer those questions on the spot. What you struggle with, I have years and years of experience on.

And I came to understand that the stuff that comes naturally to me – that is in my head – is potentially MAGIC to you. Just like my kids' doctor can deal with blood and guts SO much better than I can... So what kind of stuff can I help you with? What will this blog be about? Read on, my friend!
