A fabulous West University home with a Mid-Century Modern bent and plenty of personality was being let down by a kitchen that was stuck in a bad 80’s renovation, and a nursery that needed to transition to a ‘Big Girl’ bedroom. The Kitchen was transformed into one with clean lines and timeless style. A structural defect was turned into an opportunity to extend a small bar into a large Butler’s Pantry and separate Pantry for this growing family. The ‘Big Girl’ bedroom underwent its own metamorphosis as it went from a lackluster nursery into a space that would captivate the imagination of an artistic child. Both the 4-year-old’s dreams and mom’s were realized with a muted jungle scheme with a decidedly bohemian edge, and a cozy reading nook.
