These globe trotters settled for a builder-grade home just to be walking distance to their only daughter and their new grandchild. But they weren’t ready to settle for builder-grade finishes! Once we laid eyes on the wealth of treasures they had collected from exotic destinations all over the world, and learned the stories behind each one, we knew we had to weave them into the final design and transform the ‘okay’ into ‘oh wow’ with custom finishes. We touched every space, ensuring we infused it with both their story and their soul. Also on the request list was a desire to keep an element of ‘creative chaos’ in the Artists’ Study, while styling it for functionality and comfort. Transported to another world the minute you walk through the door, you immediately feel the warm comforting embrace of a space you never want to leave. And that’s exactly how these wanderlusters wanted to feel every time they returned from their travels: like they had come home.
